Allevol 60's Shirt White

The Allevol 60s Campus Shirt takes its inspiration from a deadstock Brooks Brothers button-down shirt dating from circa the 1960s. Remarkably, the original shirt had never been worn or washed and still retained its original paper tags, allowing Allevol to study the garment much as it would have appeared when new.

Rather than simply reproducing the original, Allevol used it as a starting point to understand the proportions that gave mid-century American button-down shirts their distinctive character. Particular attention was paid to the generous body, longer shirt length, centre box pleat and, most importantly, the long button-down collar and its natural roll.

The result is a classic button-down with the relaxed proportions associated with 1950s and 60s Ivy style, interpreted for everyday wear today.
